T-Shirt Refashion: Toddler Dress

Here is a cute little girl all dressed up in her new favourite dress.
This dress used to be a t-shirt, but I got adventurous one day and decided to cut and sew a little and make it a dress!

Here's how it went:

This was a size Large t-shirt that had been sitting in my one-day-sew-into-something-great box.

I put it on Holly to get an idea of what to do with it.

I decided on my design: Taking apart the top and using the crochet detailing as the neckline and sleeves on the dress.

I unstitched and re-sewed the top, and took in the sides by a few inches so that it fit Holly nicely.

Here is the dress all finished and sewn up. It was so cute, but it looked a bit boring. I felt like it needed one more little thing...

...a bow! So I whipped one up along with a belt for the dress and fell in love!

So much better.

Holly also fell in love.

She wants to "wear the dress that mommy made" every day. I'll be doing more of these refashions now!
