Maybelline's The Falsies Volum' Express Mascara Review

Recently, I tried two new mascaras- I hated one and loved the other. This is the second of two reviews (read the first review here).

As mentioned in my first review, I strongly disliked CoverGirl's Bombshell Volume by LashBlast Mascara. I didn't like the double wand, I found it incredibly difficult to get off, and I found that it didn't do much for my lashes overall.

This Mascara is totally different.

I'm fairly impressed with Maybelline's The Falsies Volum' Express mascara. Here's why:

The selling point for this product is that your lashes will look like you're wearing false lashes, which is why I purchased it. I've been obsessed with Benefit's They're Real mascara for years now specifically because I think it makes my lashes look comparable to falsies. This mascara doesn't quite do what They're Real does, but for the price, it's definitely worth considering.

The brush is simple, yet effective. It's curved and the bristles are long- exactly what I look for in a mascara wand. I found that this brush grabs every lash and allows for a lot of control.

The formula for the mascara is a bit thinner than I'm used to, but this allows for multiple coats with no clumping. I've also noticed that this thinner formula has prevented the mascara from drying out over time like so many mascaras do.

In regards to the effect this mascara has on my lashes, I'm very impressed. I got a ton of volume and curl and can actually say that the effect was similar to that of a much more expensive mascara. My favourite part is the buildable length- the more coats the better!

Unlike the other mascara I recently reviewed, this mascara is easy to take off which is definitely something I look for.

The only thing that I disliked about this mascara was the wet feeling. It took a fair amount of time to dry and if I wasn't careful and blinked too hard, it ended up on my face. This is something I can live with.

In summary, I absolutely recommend this mascara for the high end look it gives. The results are comparable to false lashes and the price is on point!
